Why Sponsorship Matters:
Our local shelters are operating at capacity, and some dogs have been in kennels for months or even years. Shelter workers invest so much of their time and energy into each dog, but they need more help.

We know that adopting, fostering, or volunteering isn’t always possible—but that doesn’t mean you can’t make a difference. Our Shelter Visits give you the opportunity to brighten a dog’s day by providing quality one-on-one time, all under the care of a skilled and compassionate professional dog handler.
How It Works:
Our Shelter Visits are designed to ease the stress of kennel life while helping dogs build the skills they’ll need to thrive in their forever homes.
In partnership with Furry Friends Humane, we take the dogs who need it most on an adventure for 30, 45 or 60 minutes. During the visit, the dog will have plenty of time to sniff around in nature, explore new sights, and receive lots of love and attention - all focused on decompression and positive reinforcement. After the visit has ended, the pup returns to the shelter refreshed, enriched, and ready to face the day with new energy.

Your sponsorship directly supports the shelter dogs and kennel staff, and helps cover our costs for the outing.
After each sponsored visit, you’ll receive a detailed report, complete with photos and a summary of the joy you brought to the dog. We’ll include the dog’s adoptability profile so you can share their story with friends and family, and we’ll give you and the dog a special shoutout on our social media and in our bi-weekly client newsletter!

How It Works:
Step 1: Choose Your Sponsorship

Select a 30, 45 or 60 minute outing to sponsor—you can choose a one-time sponsorship or make it a monthly gift for ongoing impact. We’ll handle the rest! Once you sign up, you’ll receive a confirmation email along with regular updates about the dog(s) you’re supporting.
Step 2: Sponsored Visit

When you sponsor a Shelter Visit,
Pet Care for the Palm Beaches partners with Furry Friends to identify the dog who needs it most. That pup then gets to enjoy an extended adventure outside in nature—giving them time to de-stress, recharge, and just have fun!
Step 3: Summary
​
As a thank-you for your generosity, you’ll receive a detailed report card complete with photos capturing the joy your sponsored shelter dog shared with their handler. The simple gift of knowing you’ve brightened a homeless dog’s day—and even helped them get closer to adoption—is truly unmatched.
