If you have ever stood along the Intracoastal Waterway on a cool December night and felt the excitement just before the first glowing boat appears, you know how magical the Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade truly is.

Now in its 31st year, the 2025 parade is shaping up to be one of the brightest yet.

Below is a quick, simple guide to the history, what to expect, the best viewing spots, and tips to make parade night even better.

A Little History

More than 30 years ago, the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County launched a holiday boat parade to bring some coastal cheer to the season. What started as a lineup of decorated boats has evolved into a beloved community tradition with fireworks, toy donations, and families lining the shoreline with blankets and cocoa.

Local boaters collect gifts for organizations like Toys for Tots and Little Smiles, and spectators wave flashlights to signal donation boats as they pass.

It is festive, nostalgic, and uniquely Palm Beach.

What to Expect in 2025

Date: Saturday, December 6, 2025Time: Starts at 6:00 PM

The parade begins in North Palm Beach and travels north toward the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, usually arriving around 8 PM.
